Psychotherapist and Perinatal Counsellor

Suzanne is a passionate and dedicated counsellor who has had the good fortune to be employed for the entirety of her career in varying degrees of reproductive loss, including pregnancy options counselling, abortion counselling, infertility and IVF support and in perinatal mental health. She has provided her clients with counselling, group support and presented to health professionals in various perinatal settings. Her expertise and understanding of the issues women, couples and families face when immersed in the perinatal period is highly specialised. She has undertaken training in Emotion Focused Therapy with Dr Melissa Harte during her Masters Degree at La Trobe University. Her initial training at WIRE Womens's Information has provided her with understanding of the Feminist Framework and responding to family violence & sexual assault.


Suzanne has worked in perinatal mental health with Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia on the PANDA National Helpline , in unplanned pregnancy at The Women’s Hospital’s Pregnancy Advisory Service and Marie Stopes Australia National Counselling Service and at Fertile Ground Health Group focusing on infertility and IVF support as well as in private practice.  Suzanne also provides clinical supervision to health professionals whilst she completes the Wheel of Supervision training with the Centre for Existential Practice.


As well as working with Individuals and short-term couples work she has an interest in groupwork. To date she has run: Little Village for women considering sole parenting; Sanctuary for women having IVF treatment; Pregnant Pause and Moving Stories explorations of the pregnant body, past present and future, through movement.
